With the objective of spreading awareness of the rich bio-diversity of Drass, Kuhelika and I set out to explore the region nestled in the center of Ladakh to research, design, and compile a field guide oh the flora and fauna of Dras Valley. We documented the flora, spotted some fauna, interviewed experts in various fields, and spent time understanding the locals, their history, and their stories.

The book aims to serve as an educational tool, providing information about local flora and fauna, their ecological roles, the fragility of local ecosystems, and the importance of habitat conservation.
